Jason Priest

Jason has worked in several medical environments, mainly specializing in the pharmaceutical field. He has worked within the Inpatient Home Infusion Pharmacy for over fifteen years at one of the world’s leading Hospitals, St. Joseph Mercy Health System, and also has worked at one of the nation’s leading retail pharmacies for over six years at CVS/Pharmacy as a lead certified pharmacy tech. He has experience as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and was enrolled through one of the state’s largest medical education providers, Huron Valley Medic School. In addition, he has experience with medication distribution including controlled substances at The Harvard Drug Group as a compliance specialist. Maintaining and implementing certain laws and regulations in pharmaceutical purchasing and complying with the DEA’s (Drug Enforcement Administration) guidelines.

Jason also serves as one of the Executive Board Members on MSPT through MPA (Michigan Pharmacists Association) and is a current member of PTEC (Pharmacy Technician Educators Council). Certifications include:  CPhT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) through the PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board), RPhT  (Registered Certified Pharmacy Technician) through Department of Licensing as well as LPhT (Licensed Pharmacy Technician) and EMT-B (Emergency Medical Technician-Basic) through Huron Valley Medic School which includes AED and CPR. Jason currently provides Student Support, state licensing assistance, placement detail with reviewing national agreements for multiple employers, and Externship Coordination to all of the Clinical MedCerts students, and serves as one of the Pharmacy Tech subject matter experts for MedCerts programs. He has been with the company for over 8 years.

In Jason’s spare time he enjoys being outdoors, spending time with family and friends. Attending different types of concerts and events. He likes all types of music and will someday take up lessons to play piano.
