Responsible for collecting blood samples from patients by venipuncture or capillary puncture assuming responsibility for their safety and comfort. Acquires urine specimens and throat cultures, orders tests, and verifies medical necessity on outpatients. Performs clerical and other duties as assigned.
Schedule: (Varying day shift hours) 4:30am-12:30pm; 5:00am -1:30pm; or 6:00 am-2:30 pm
- High School Diploma or GED
- Successful completion of a Phlebotomy program
Certification and Licensure
- BLS Certification
- Phlebotomy Certification or obtained within 6 months of hire
