Pharmacy Technician
Hayward, CA Full-Time, Part-Time Expires October 31, 2022
What You’ll Be Doing:

- Work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist
- Perform the duties assigned to them by the Pharmacist
- Responsible for the staging and compounding of products
- Responsible for ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained
- Maintain compounding records and patient chards
- Aid the Pharmacist in the selection and compilation of infusion supplies
- May request refill authorizations from physician offices via fax or phone
- Dress and act in a manner consistent with the professional representation of the pharmacy
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Will NEVER educate, train, counsel, or advise a patient concerning his or her medications. The Technician staff shall refer all questions concerning medications to the Pharmacist
- Will ALWAYS identify themselves as a Pharmacy Technician when speaking with Patients, Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals
- Will ALWAYS wear a name tag identifying themselves as a Pharmacy Technician
- Will pack medication according to company procedures, which abide with medication safety requirements
- Will be required to attend all Continual Quality Assurance Meetings and act as a committee member
What You’ll Need:

- Must have an active, valid, and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license to practice
- Must be in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is preferred
- High school graduate
- Have a good working knowledge of pharmacy practice
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills
