What You’ll Be Doing:

    • Work under the direct supervision of a Licensed Pharmacist
    • Perform the duties assigned to them by the Pharmacist
    • Responsible for the staging and compounding of products
    • Responsible for ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained
    • Maintain compounding records and patient chards
    • Aid the Pharmacist in the selection and compilation of infusion supplies
    • May request refill authorizations from physician offices via fax or phone
    • Dress and act in a manner consistent with the professional representation of the pharmacy
    • Maintain patient confidentiality
    • Will NEVER educate, train, counsel, or advise a patient concerning his or her medications.  The Technician staff shall refer all questions concerning medications to the Pharmacist
    • Will ALWAYS identify themselves as a Pharmacy Technician when speaking with Patients, Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals
    • Will ALWAYS wear a name tag identifying themselves as a Pharmacy Technician
    • Will pack medication according to company procedures, which abide with medication safety requirements
    • Will be required to attend all Continual Quality Assurance Meetings and act as a committee member

What You’ll Need:

    • Must have an active, valid, and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license to practice
    • Must be in good standing with Board of Pharmacy
    • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is preferred
    • High school graduate
    • Have a good working knowledge of pharmacy practice
    • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills
